Clinical Pathology & Parasitology
At Healthways Medical Diagnostic Center (HWMDC), we offer a comprehensive range of clinical pathology and parasitology services, utilizing advanced technology and expert analysis to ensure accurate results.
Urine Analysis
Our urine analysis is performed on a fully automated DIRUI FUS2000 analyzer, which uses the principles of Flow Cytometry for precise microscopic examination of urine samples. To further enhance accuracy, our Consultant Pathologists conduct additional microscopic evaluations for each sample during their shifts. The automated system is integrated with lab software, reducing clerical errors and ensuring reliable results.
Stool Examinations
All routine stool tests are conducted using the Concentration Technique, providing clear and accurate insights into parasitic infections.
Body Fluid Analysis
We also analyze various body fluids, including pleural fluid, ascitic fluid, synovial fluid, cerebrospinal fluid (CSF), and seminal fluid. Each sample is carefully examined by our Consultant Pathologists to provide detailed, accurate results.
Quality Control and Assurance
At HWMDC, the quality of our clinical pathology services is a top priority. Our distinguishing strength lies in our rigorous and meticulous quality control system:
Internal Quality Control: We perform daily internal quality checks using control materials, ensuring that results are consistent and reliable for each patient.
External Quality Assurance: We participate in recognized external quality control programs, such as CAP (College of American Pathologists), to uphold the highest standards of accuracy and care.
Rechecking of Abnormal Results
Before reporting any abnormal results, we ensure they are rechecked for accuracy, providing patients with reliable and trustworthy information.
